You may even load a new empty project to avoid any damage to your current project.Avoid upgrading before a gig!

Doesnât replace a support ticket, of course, but you might want to check if itâs not a feature before declaring a bug
Regarding the bug reports in this thread, @ThomasJ from Elektron gave some directions:
"As always, if you have a very easy way of reproducing it, a clear description, with a setup and step by step instructions (and preferably a project file) with expected and actual results will basically always be prioritized. Suggest exact devices, connections, parameters etc, and things have the chance of being picked up and fixed much faster. This goes for all bugs. We want to fix it all âŚ

Hi, Iâve noticed what I think is a bug.
If I try delete it on the Digitakt II, I get an error saying "Error (Not Empty?)!
Iâm not sure either, but didnât the release notes specify a procedure for the order with which to do updating and or backing up - it may be that you have fallen into a grey area - might be worth re-reading those

Donât have this issue, I guess you need to format, reset the machine to factory
I can backup projects from Transfer without issues still

Iâm on OS 10.14.6. Havenât had any issues copying samples over with transfer, or copying projects over to my computer.

i just took the risk and updated without backing up. worked fine

Then yes, I would try formatting +Drive.
This will happen if youâre trying to back up a DT1 project

That did the trick. Luckily I only had 5gb on it, so could be worse. Gives me a chance to reorder my recorded folder properly as well
I updated today and some of my patterns have been changed to the point in which they are no longer recognizable
Not sure what parameters were changed (if any?)
Just tried a power cycle and it didnât fix anything- super bummed out because these were my favorite patterns for a specific project!

In case of emergency you can downgrade to the previous OS (donât save your project with the new firmware yet! ):

The pitch bend parameter was sort of wrongly implemented in the previous versions:
Pitchbend issue found.
The digitakt starts mostly with all PBs for all the tracks at 0 (as can be seen in the MODULATION SETUP PITCH BEND menu under SETUP). But after using PB and releasing it so it returns to its default ânullâ position, the PB value in this menu skips to 64, resulting in offpitch sounds in relation to the other trks.
The range of the PB on the digitakt is -128 to 127, so 64 would be âoffpitchâ but still it interprets default middle position of the PB controller as 64. I woulâŚ
They corrected this in 1.02:
The pitch bend range was not -128 to +127. This resulted in unwanted behaviors
when controlling the pitch bend.
This could lead to your issue that everything is âoffâ now (a wild guess).

Thank you for the response, but I never use pitch bend!
The same thing happens when the DT2 is connected to my laptop via USB and I use Logic (even with MIDI messaging switched off)
Really weird!
