3mins 13 ideas (Feedback wanted)

I have a long looong history of not finishing things, coming up with lots of ideas of stuff, getting the basic idea down but never finishing it. So in an attempt to motivate myself I selected some recent track ideas, exported short loops of them and put them together into a three minute demo of thirteen ideas, I could use some feedback, good/bad or otherwise.
Keep in mind these are just raw loops and aren’t really mixed or mastered in any way:

EDIT: I guess I can’t upload it as one 3min file so here are the individual 13 loops:
EDIT: 2 I numbered them for easier reference

If you throw in some reverb and up the pad volume on #6 you’re on your way to a cool futuristic/wipeout game lobby style track :sunglasses:

9/13 combo, 9 (minus drums) being the B section, then back into dirty dnb

11 sounds like the start of a pretty cool Anthony Naples style kinda tune to me

I can hear the making of something along the lines of a kool keith track in #2, I also hear 5 and 12 as similarly hip hop oriented but maybe more in the style of clipping or someone in that vein.

I don’t really know what’s going on with 10 but I like it. Feels intense.

I appreciate the feedback, Keep it coming!

tbh I really don’t have anyone to bounce ideas/WIP etc off of, In some respects that’s a good thing because I mostly want to create in a bubble and not really have anyone influence the direction of whatever I’m doing but on the other hand sometimes it’s good to have people give some feedback (good or bad) just to get and idea of how what I’m doing would be received.

My two issues with finishing things is: 1. Song structure/arrangement, I have a hard time taking an idea and bringing in to a full song, I’ve finished and released tracks before but frankly I have no idea how I did it, it feels like someone else did it.
2. ADHD. I have difficulty sticking with and seeing one idea to fruition, I love coming up with stuff, I come up with stuff all the time. I make almost everything from scratch including the drums and to me that’s the most fun and exciting part. Sometimes when I’m messing around I’ll come up with two or three completely different and equally strong ideas in the same session, often they are even two or three completely different genres.
I went though a period of time where I would go in my studio, make cool shit then turn everything off and never save anything. It sucks because I look back at stuff I posted online and I’m like damn that was good I wish i had saved that…So as of the last year or so I started saving anything I make that I feel is worthy of saving and as of this year my goal is to put together a cohesive 6 track EP where it makes sense from front to back, even if the genres vary I want the tracks to sound right together. Everything I write is bass heavy and usually dub/garage influenced but I don’t want to restrict myself too much in that respect as long as what I do can be listened to front to back and it “makes sense” then I’d be happy with it.

Can very much relate to the struggles of finishing things, I can also have bursts of creativity but will often just get bored of an idea after a while (despite going OMG I FOUND THE HOLY GRAIL a day earlier)

Currently struggling to ”settle” for something good enough to multitrack record into a DAW. Building some muscle memory for the recording process, figuring out which parts work and which I’ll need to rethink from a performance perspective.

Lots of fun challenges to be had if you manage to trick yourself a bit to nerd in on details :joy:

Hey that’s my gig! Can’t be copying me…

Nice work. I listened to all 13 and my favourites are 6, 10, 12, 13 - 6 and 13 in particular (I’m a sucker for that jungle-type drum loop in 13 and will buy almost anything that uses it.)
