Something weird is going on with my DN

Can someone help me out here… I’ve run into something I’ve never seen on an elektron device…

I load a Pattern, say a factory preset
Play it, everything is good.
Record into a track, works fine…
Func+Play to clear sequence
Record into a track. Live record or step, doesn’t matter.
I can see the trigs in the sequencer!!! But they won’t play! It happens like 90% of the time but not 100%.

It makes no sense! I was thinking that maybe doing something in a setting disconnected the sequencer from the track somehow? But no, because before I clear the pattern I can indeed record.

Any ideas or clues? This is really wild…

If your trigs are playing 90% of the time perhaps the global trig condition is set to 90? ( it’s been a long time since I used my digitone but the other devices have this setting )

Funny… So I bought this used.
Apparently the “mute mode” is like REALLY persistent, because that seems to be the issue. Last owner had it in the global or universal mute mode which I never use!
