Sennheiser finally ate Dear Reality. Their plugins won’t be updated anymore. They say you can get most of their plugins free, altough I had trouble finding a working link.
Their dearVR Pro 2 and Exoverb are both phenomenal for realistic spatial effects and reverbs. They are all over my new album, which will be out this year.
I have been using these plugins for a good while now in many productions, so this makes me pretty uncomfortable.
But the good news is that the plugins are now free, if you sign up to the Sennheiser Ambeo newsletter.
I got a link in email, because I own licenses for a couple of these. But the link doesn’t work, it just leads to some ctrk.klclick.com tracking link which cannot be found.
It’s not that long ago I upgraded to dearVR Pro 2. Sad to see the company go.
Oh sweet, Mix has compensation for my headphones included (although not listed in the manual, DT 900 Pro X). Have to test that out compared to parametric eq settings provided by Orally1990 that I’ve been using. Edit: seems to be some kind of spatial compensation rather than EQ. The control room simulation also sounds kind of weird, but will have to test some more by A/B between these and my monitors. Free alternative to CanOpener nevertheless.
The Pro 2 binaural mixing tool is priceless (now literally). Just started to use the micro few weeks ago. Extra special on reverb and delay send channels.
