Have you guys updated to Win 11 already?
How the compatibility? Any unresolvable issues?
Is Windows 10 compatibility mode working well for apps that are not running natively for some reason?
Interested as well. However, quite scared by ads in the interface and stuff
they’re trying to force me on a regular basis. also have not caved to the pressure but a time will come, I guess.
Are you interested in how any particular app works? I’ve had w11 for a long time and have never had any problems, I’ve never even had to use the compatibility system with older Windows. If you have any doubts about any software you need, we can try it with my PC
I don’t have doubts about specific software. It’s just that it seems to me that most of the software is still advertised as tested and compatible with Win 10 and no word on Win 11.
As @shigginpit said, I’m constantly being nudged by MS to update and it would seem to me it’s actually quite late into the transition already, as all the corporate IT I come in contact with during workday is already running Win 11.

I haven’t run into anything that isn’t compatible myself that’s modern and well supported by the vendors, the only issues I have had is with some older games that I’ve wanted to replay, everything music related just works, even plugins that haven’t been updated in a while…

Ok I understand, I can only tell you that as far as music production is concerned, no problems so far, I have licenses for Cubase, Studio Live, Ableton and MPC, and I have had the drivers for various Steinberg, Presonus, Native Instruments and Arturia sound cards, everything works and frankly I have been very happy with them since the days of Windows 8. I have never understood the obsession with Macs, every time a new update comes out you risk suddenly losing a sound card or something else, personally I would go crazy if I had a Mac

I have been using Windows computers for at least 15 years. My current music production laptop is on Windows 11 and I never had any issues.
I have MPC Software, Ableton and probably 100 VSTs like everyone else. Never had any issues in terms of compatibility with Windows 11. At least I don’t remember one.
