Continuing the discussion from [Digitakt/Digitone Program Changes (DN is late again)
I have a very annoying issue here, if any of you can assist me with this, is about the program change from the OT to DT2/DN2. Everything is well connected and set in the midi menu of both, only that every time I want to change pattern it takes 64 extra steps for the DT2 to follow, the bpm changes right on time but pattern no. And it is because of the page settings. I have the Change at 64 and the Reset at 256 and sometimes at Inf. It works only with the Reset an 64, but that s not an option, I need at least 256. I don t know, please help.
Do you have the master machine (the PC sender) PC receiving device set to different length for each track ? That’s often been the culprit in the past. If so, it’s been noted as a bug for a loooooong time.
The device receiving is in fault. If I set the Reset in Page Menu to be Inf. or bigger than 64 will be late. If it is 64, like the Master Length in OT (Master PC) everything is fine, but the Reset at 64 means no chord progression. So annoying, all that money spent, just to live stuck for days in this stupid issue, feels like I want to throw everything out on the window and just go back on the computer with Ableton. Less headache, more job donne.
To be fair, I just stopped trying different length per track since that time, because I figured they would never fix it despite the acknowledgement.
I haven’t checked with more recent versions of OS or on the new machines, but I assume this is still the same @Elektron ?
Thank you guys, maybe we should talk more often about that so they do act on. But that s counterproductive for us. Anyway, wish you the best and hope make some beats instead trying to hook up the gear
Sorry to hear this. I also experienced this problem for an hour this morning when I wanted an INF reset on the DN2. The only way I could get it to work was setting the reset to the master length and had to deal with a reset of my pattern every 8 bars which wasn’t what I was after. I actually came to this forum and found the bug (posted by bibenu) that Elektron said they acknowledge unfortunately.
