Octatrack - LFO trigger from midi sequencer

Hey hey,

Last time I had a question a wonderful French man with the same name video called me to guide me through setting up midi mappings - hopefully this can be resolved in a slightly more efficient way!

My octatrack is receiving MIDI sequence from my Torso T1. It then uses midi thru to forward this to my digitakt which is connected to one set of stereo inputs, whilst my Digitone is setup to receive melodic bits on the second set.

I have my project setup so that track 5 has an LFO that acts as a compressor on track 5 (Digitone). I can trigger these easily using the onboard sequencer; but I cannot seem to get to trigger from my torso T1. I’ve set channel 5 to receive midi channel one, and I had previously figured it out using some combination of PROJECT > MIDI > CONTROL > AUDIO NOTE IN, and then setting track 5 to one of the other trig modes (I think?) - but I just reloaded my settings and lost the configuration. Now I can’t seem to get it back.

Long story short, I want my sequencer to trigger my LFO on track 5 audio, as well as being forwarded to my digitakt for kicks.

Thanks so much in advance if you can help!

(and I want to be able to change the pitch of the drum) - I can see in the manual that notes correspond to different functions, but I just want to be triggered regardless of pitch

An audio track lfo can’t be forwarded via midi.
I’d set the same lfo on a midi track.

Do you want to trigger these from T1 ?

Probably me. :content:

Ah no way it is you!!

Sorry my bad for the description, the audio track lfo doesn’t need to be forwarded, I only need the trigger forwarded which it’s automatically doing out of midi thru.

So: trigger goes from T1 into octatrack and digitakt via midi thru, octatrack triggers lfo on audio track 5.

My problem is that I can’t seem to get the right setup so that the lfo is triggered from the T1, but it’s fine when I manually place them on the sequencer

Still not clear to me.
Do you send a midi note to an OT midi track having that lfo ?
