It would be great to have a dedicated “RIP” or “Obituary” category in Elektronaut to put all sorts of dedication for deceased celebrities, public figures, etc. This way we can also have a way to mute all sorts of post and threads like this more easily and effectively than to play wack-a-mole.

I personally don’t read many of the RIP threads but I like seeing them there. I like seeing who’s important to the rest of you.

i see the good intension behind the thought, but holy moly, dying is part of living and a natural giving…i also like to know who came to end of their road in life and see, who’s is feeling any kind of need for condelence to any such particular individual that has left the planet, but since these sorts of posts always start with the according acronym RIP, it’s totally ok to gain any complete overview by searchfunction, in such rare cases, someone really wants to do so…
RIP the RIP category. Dying is not relevant anymore in 2025.
Thread would be better. But I think dedicated threads are the best solution. Easier to spot and see the „news“ and chance to have a dedicated discussion on the artist and honor them.
