I was looking at how the C3(A10) pattern from the standard Syntakt presets is structured and noticed an interesting LFO DEST
→ LFO2 MODE
.
If I’m not mistaken, LFO2 MODE
is not in the list of Destinations, and it’s not in the documentation either.
I wonder how it was added and how many more undocumented features are still inaccessible to us?
This is a great catch, but I believe it represents trig mode which states only available for LFO2, unless you’re seeing another specific destination for trig mode.
I don’t have an ST so can’t confirm, unfortunately.
No no no. I checked.
That destination displayed as LFO1 MODE
So basically, you don’t have access to mode from the LFO2 destinations list on any of the LFO pages? Weird. I’d probably want to know the answer so I’d ask elektron directly.
Digitakt 2 documentation makes it look like LFO2 trig mode would be accessed from the third LFO page only, so makes you wonder if ST has a phantom third LFO, but while I doubt it, who really knows.
Since that preset came from elektron it’s possible it was created on a firmware that never became public. E.g. an abandoned beta or alpha release ? Maybe ?
Why abandoned?! Maybe reserved for future
All sorts of possibilities in “never became public” from “will never be public” to “will be released this Wednesday” and lots more
What is the C3 here?
The name of the Pattern from Syntakt factory preset pack
I’m not at home right now to take a peek at mine, but I’m wondering which firmware you’re seeing this on. I know that a few LFO destination names changed slightly after the 1.30 firmware update, and then were fixed again in 1.30B, I reported this bug here
I don’t recall seeing LFO2 MODE but I guess it’s a possible connection
1.30B latest official
Also that LFO2 destination not in the list at all.
Seems this is another issue.
