Medeli, parent company of ASM, maker of the Hydrasynth, have taken a trademark out on this name and image.
They are both sharing a large booth at NAMM in Anaheim, coming soon. We shall see if they announce anything then.

Your Leviathan guess make sense !
Who is the strongest ?
The Leviathan is the mean thing on the left.
Leviathan does sound enough like Leviasynth to connect the names.
Yes, I initially thought Hydra was in the water.
So Hydra is supposed to have 9 heads, hence 9 voices ?
It’s definitely not me !
( Though i have a mighty credit card. )
Leviasynth could be a big deep mono bass synth, but with a digital twist
I was trying ( and failed ) to make any connection between the name and any technology.
We ( collectively ) have thrown out some interesting ideas in the past. Anyone care to speculate. We’re in the speculation phase right now in this.
Analog VCO, digital filter! Some will say it sounds thin!
Interesting in theory mutators that all end up sounding the same (to some)
Weighs 90 lbs! (Not too heavy for some)
Ends up coming in 6 different forms, brilliant idea.
Hadn’t thought of this detail. If it is ASM having two versions immediately seems likely.
Glen who had said a long time back that something was in the works, also said that – If a product isn’t somehow different from everything else, then why bother doing it. He also says he likes to be silent about new products until they are almost ready to ship.
( I am paraphrasing, but these are close. )
Both these ideas i like.
I doubt that. Technically, though it is a tiny bit risky, you can actually file the trademark after release. The product itself can fill as a defacto trademark. Obviously it is better to file first.
“Big,” and also “powerful” is how I think of leviathan. So, with that name, I assume it will be a big synth in terms of both size and power. Also, leviathan is associated with either being the bringer of chaos (Bible and Myth) or the controller of chaos (Thomas Hobbes).
I love my HS Desktop for its depth, great UI and relatively small size. I have no more room for keyboards in my studio, so whatever it is, I hope they offer it in a desktop either out of the gate or shortly thereafter.
No mono please !
Multitimbral 64 voices !
Leviathan have different forms apparently, depending on culture.
Synonim of chaos !
yeah mono is probably overkill. im just imaging some kind of hardware serum competitor, mono be damned!
The name Daniel Troberg ( who is VP of Sales and Marketing at ASM ) brings product ideas to those in this forum.
If Glen Darcy is involved in its creation, whatever it is, I will be interested. The MatrixBrute and HS are both really well designed, fun to use, and powerful synths.
The owner Glen Darcey said this over on facebook page on the link I posted about it…
“The synth community rumor mill is pretty funny. We registered a couple of names we thought we might use on future things . Of course the internet being the internet, nothing turns into something and then the feedback loop grows.”
So nothing to see here then!
Being informed internet denizens we can then read it as follows: “The internet rumor mill exceeded our expectations and opened our eyes to the surge in demand for our genius. We will do our part to turn something into nothing in everlasting gratitude for justifying our existence.”
