Header Display Issue iOS 18

When you click to open a thread while the URL field is hidden in Safari iOS 18, the thread opens with a weird looking header. Once you scroll up or down, it turns to normal.

Might be an issue with Safari, but it‘s the only site I‘m experiencing this.

I tried it on my iPhone and everything is normal, same on iOS 18. Maybe because I’m using the Safari layout at the bottom. Try moving it to the bottom and see how it behaves.

Yes, indeed. With URL at the bottom it looks ok. Too bad I will never get used to that layout.

I also listen to LITE 93 FM.

I have the same thing as you. It’s a minor annoyance. What’s more troubling when looking at your screenshots is why haven’t you switched to dark mode already???

Hmmm. Wait and see is the only option we have, I guess.

I kind of regretted installing iOS 18 yesterday without searching for potential issues in advance. I should really know by now. I been through all kinds of weirdness since Classic Mac OS 7.1 …

I don’t remember when it was exactly released but I’m on ios 18.1.1 since day 1, approx couple of weeks, the issue started today so it’s irrelevant to the ios 18, and again, other discourse sites work just fine

What makes me think that it might have to do with the OS is that as for the header, the minimising of the URL field is something that Safari does. Maybe it’s an interplay between conflicting CSS and the app. – Not going to dive deeper into that. It’s just a minor issue and keeps me way from my phone a little more.

The fat white line on top is very distracting. Or maybe I’m just more of a bright person?!

I fixed this issue by going into Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced then clicked Edit and removing the Elektronauts data, after re-login everything went back to normal

Glad that did it for you. Tried again removing cached data … my issue still persists.
