It would super cool to be able to mute posts from lists without having to go into them and select mute from the drop-down menu. Often times the post subject titles are enough to inform a user to want to mute and hide them from the list, and this would make it a lot easier.
I think you’d have to suggest it in discourse meta or something, that’s like a platform level change.
Aaaaah, OK cool.
I mostly view this forum via chrome on iPhone.
I’d love to be able to slide left to mute … like many other apps.
Not expecting it to happen though.
FYI - it is possible to mute entire sections of the forum - eg I don’t have model samples - the entire section can be muted.
That would need to be a feature of the Discourse software itself if it isn’t already. Personally, I’m super thankful that I can mute threads and entire sub-forums at all.
I’m in a hockey community that uses a super old vBulletin 3.8 and it’s a frustrating nightmare of a platform. I’ve poked at them to migrate to Discourse but it’s not going to happen.
Got it, got it. I found a request for this feature. Imagine a world where one sees a subject title “Machine X vs Machine Z, which should I get?!” and mutes it straightaway…
It’s a good idea, I’m not gonna lie.
