Tonverk speculations

Or get valuable infos.

Theres a super dumb midi implementation bug they should have fixed a long time ago on ST, but idgaf anymore I sold it… honestly thought it was their weakest box. Hopefully tonverk will be incredible. Hopefully there’ll be some bug fixes on A4 too. Theres a cv bug thats really really overdue for attention there.

I really like bass. I still like using my right hand though. :sunglasses:

Righthand on the minikeys, lefthand on the Quick Perf control makes the A4 feel like an instrument to me… I love that little keyboard tbh.

Which is something Elektron are well known for doing.

It’s crazy how there’s so much talk about “if it doesn’t have feature x, y, and z, I won’t be buying it” or “they should add…” going around.

This thing hasn’t even dropped yet and nobody knows what it does but they want all this shit added before there’s even been a proper product demonstration.

Go do some hanon exercises!

I can play anything on keys left/right handed with no real bias because hanon.

Ok now im imagining the mechanics of octave up/down to play hanon exercises on those mini keys.

there are several threads dedicated to Syntakt, maybe this update talk can continue there?

That’s basically what I’m saying

Been gone for a night and there’s around 400 posts since. Anything important I’ve missed since about 150 posts after the leaked image ?

edit:

@shigginpit: nonstandard as in other than any existing Elektron, meaning it’s not an OT size case?

Alright so I could not stop thinking about what the size of this thing is, and per suspicions it seems to be completely non-standard to any other EMM product.

I took a known quantity (the rectangle button) and used it to approximate the size within probably an 1/8th of an inch accuracy.

completely non-standard.

I remember they said there’s an update for ST in an interview but development takes time so I think we could be patient right now.

So be patient, you’ll get your updates.

Tonverk both by its name and its design looks to me as Electron’s version of the Novation Circuit Pro that never was.

nope. 3 inches shorter.

OT is 13.3" across the long way, tonverk (if correct) is 10 inches.

there’s some measurements approximation some 100 posts up, but it should be more then 250 imo, DN currently 215, this thing has more then 4cm for sure if you double the trigs, imo around 300-330, but less then rytm/a4/ot (385)

Everything. You have to read those hundred posts if you’re a real Elektronaut. It’s vital.

150mm for the depth seems wrong to me, DN/DT is 176mm, and this thing looks to be about the same.

I thought about this for a long time today and created a right-handed version with Paint.
Conclusion:
It makes sense (for right-handers) the way it is.
All keys on the right side are used very often.
The left keyboard is for quick note input, chords and arps.
If you really want to strum: plug in a keyboard.
The few keys are not suitable for playing like Beethoven.

I mean I got out a ruler and measured the button, how much more accurate can I be?

the scale is off from the digis, they aren’t 10 inches wide.
