If you want to speculate on ST2, the future value of the ST or other topics not related to ST feature requests. there are a number of threads for this:

A Syntakt II Makes More Sense Than A Killer Syntakt FW Update (?)

I’m thinking that a FW update that improves Syntakt to more-or-less Digitakt II level will not benefit Elektron. They already have the template in Digitakt II for a Syntakt II. It would be quite generous of them if they release an update like that on Syntakt. But I’m hoping they are that generous.

Syntakt II speculations

I want to buy a Syntakt, but Digitakt 2 has recently been released. I am afraid that Syntakt 2 will be released after buying Syntakt. Does anyone know when Syntakt 2 will be released? Thanks

What's next for Elektron?

Elektron had moved from big Octa and Analog boxes to smaller Digi, then from Digi to Model I suggest next product will be again smaller and simpler, kinda “Volca” (maybe with batteries finally?)

Yes, I would love perform kits on Syntakt! I spend far too much time copying and pasting track sounds to copy over minor tweaks across several patterns. It would save so much time…

+1 for kits. Its one of the big ones, indispensable on my big box analogs

So, as “Syntakt still has a lot of stories to tell” according to elektron, here’s my absolute whishlist that seems it wouldn’t be such a hard competition on DTII and DNII:

a 3rd LFO ! Syntakt becomes especially interesting sound wise using short LFOs on specific machine parameters, and I find myself needing a 3rd one for longer variations, especially for live performances. Midi loopback can do wonders in that case, but then again it’s sacrificing tracks and other routing options.

Chorus : this has been lacking from day one, let’s get some chorus on those digital machines at least <3

Digital EQ on analog tracks : a second EQ just to refine that amazing kick power

Digital drum dedicated fm machine : a light version of DNII drum synth, like they did for the Tone machine, that would allow for more options dedicated to cymbals, hats, snares …

new usage for those last four pads : I don’t think 4 more tracks are necessary, I like the idea of having 4 pads dedicated to performances. I dream of a routing similar to the “all tracks” function, but with programmable toggle values. Would allow for epic build ups, modulations … I would also settle for a per track performance macro with programmable values, as can be done with modwheel and breathcontrol.
