I made a couple of tracks, it’s techno-ish I guess, both making heavy use of the Soma Labs Lyra-8:
1st track, Slavery, is just the Lyra going through the OT’s effects, I recorded and played small bits with the OT but mostly what you hear is a single Lyra session recorded in Ableton Live, the DT is taking care of the bulk of drum duties and was recorded with Overbridge.
2nd track’s main idea is the Analog Four going through the Lyra’s inputs to make use of the crazy delays and distortion, plus a few VST’s, and drums were made mainly with the MPC Live for this one.
Fair warning, I can’t mix at all, so it probably sounds terrible to those of you who have experience with that, my apologies. Hopefully they’re still interesting enough that you’ll share some advice, criticism or ideas for the next tracks ?
Anyway, thanks for your time and see you around on the forum !
I wholeheartedly recommend it, using it feels like a journey, it’s wild and practically untamable but the sounds that come out of it are incredible, it’s an experience that feels different every time !
I only listened to Slavery so far, I like it! Really dig the feel. Not such a fan of the straight time feel from 3mins onwards , but that’s totally my own subjective taste.
Great sounds great track. Enjoy Lyra!
Foreboding…this track sounds great. Love the hihats and the Lyra 8 sounds huge. A little variation on the drums would go along way, other than that, I’m digging it. Mix sounded pretty good on my smartphone.
