Flute Festival

The BPO and Buffalo Chamber Music Society present a Flute Festival weekend!
April 6 & 7, 2024

Join BPO flutists and featured guest artists for two days of masterclasses and collaboration with the Western New York flute community. Masterclasses will feature local high school and college talent working with artists in front of a live audience. All Masterclasses are free and open to the public with a required reservation, and will be held at Kleinhans Music Hall.

On Saturday evening, join your BPO for a dazzling performance of Holst’s The Planets in celebration of the highly anticipated total solar eclipse on Buffalo’s horizon, in addition to pre-eminent flutist, Marina Piccinini’s showcase of The Universe in Ecstatic Motion, a concerto written for her by composer Christopher Theofanidis. Cap off the weekend at Kleinhans Sunday afternoon with flutist Anthony Trionfo in recital presented by the Buffalo Chamber Music Society, including a special pre-concert performance by BPO flutists Christine Davis and Natalie Debikey Scanio.
