New gift endows music director’s position at Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra |
Buffalo, NY — Following the wonderful music with guest artist Renee Fleming and the excitement of the BPO’s Opening Night Gala at Kleinhans Music Hall on Saturday, September 13, BPO Board of Trustees Chair Louis P. Ciminelli announced that the orchestra has received a leadership gift from Angelo and Carol Fatta.This generous gift will endow the Music Director’s position, held by Maestro JoAnn Falletta. “We are deeply grateful for Ange and Carol’s tremendous gift to the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra,” said Ciminelli. “Ange’s leadership, as former Chair of the Board of Trustees and long-time supporter of the BPO, has helped to ensure a strong financial future for the BPO.” “I am honored and delighted that Ange and Carol have chosen to endow the Music Director’s position with their wonderful, generous gift,” said Falletta. “I count Ange and Carol among my dearest friends, and it means a great deal to me that they have expressed their passion for our BPO with such a transformative gift.
