I just discovered a neat little trick when using the op-1f with the DT2: resampling a track on the DT2 through external FX via USB audio through the op-1f.
Both audio and midi via USB work flawlessly for me since the latest op-1f update. There is the option to only send specific tracks via USB audio in the settings of the DT2. You can either send a single stereo track, or two tracks in mono on the L and R channel. Let’s say I want to resample a drum beat on track 6 through my guitar pedal chain (pic below). I choose to send track 6 out via USB and disable it from the main out of the DT2. Then I disable USB audio IN on the DT2 to prevent feedback from the op-1f. On the op-1f, I set the input source to USB in. Then I connect the audio out of the op-1f through my FX pedal chain to the L and R input of the DT2. So track 6 of the DT2 goes through the op-1f (and it’s FX) and through my guitar pedals back into the DT2 and can be monitored and resampled through the external FX in real time. Very nice. The only downside at the moment is the low volume of the external inputs on the DT2, but I hope this will be addressed in a firmware update soon.
