Hope someone can explain why this is happening!
I like to use the LST trig condition to set up drum fills that play right before I switch from one pattern to another. When I use the PTN button on the Digitakt II to manually make new pattern selections, all of the LST trigs play right before a transition just as they should. You can also see that a transition is about to occur (while these trigs sound) by looking at the pattern number display in the upper left hand corner - it flashes the upcoming number in black and white until the transition is complete. Works perfectly!
Here is my conundrum: When I send a PC number to the Digitakt II from an external midi device (like a Morningstar controller) to make a pattern change, it successfully transitions between one pattern and another…but NONE of the LST trigs play nor does the upcoming pattern number flash on the screen. In this case, the current pattern number stays visible until the moment of transition and then updates. I don’t care about the display, but I’m citing it to underscore that there seems to be a different behavior at work here, depending on where the pattern change request eminates from. I really need the LST trigs to fire while also sending PCs to the Digi - any thoughts on how to make this happen??
Thanks!
