Maybe that spider just tried to show you some interesting modulation or something…

Well it does have 8 modulators.

On average, people swallow 8 Syntakts a year in their sleep.

I‘d swallow 12 if they gave it more digital machines and 128 steps already!

This is a feature not a bug.

Octatrack Mk3 confirmed?

Most likely a mold mite. Tons of folk used to find them behind Game Boy screens in a similar manner. They are attracted to heat in electronics, and heat will also kill them. So the solution here is to have a nice long Syntakt session :fried_egg:

You’ll be fine to shake the spider out, just power it down first!

Nooooo

Arachnidtrack confirmed!

That sounds like what you described. So I turned my Syntakt into a spider toaster. :spider::fire: After that session, I don’t think I’ll be seeing it again anytime soon! :joy::joy:

I’m fairly convinced the next Elektron product will be spider-themed and this thread is just viral marketing

If there is still a spider in there, I would:

Remove the knobs and caps
Remove the faceplate
Have a peek inside with a torch

If you don’t see the little guy, assume it’s gone
If you do see it, try to coax it out with kind words and gentle prodding.

Spiders are lovely creatures that appreciate quietude and the odd snack - it will soon realise the home it has made within your Swedish drum machine was a fleeting one.

Guys, you know what the spider did this morning? It took 128 steps on my ST :joy::joy:

The problem is that if I do that, this naughty little creature might sneak into my DT2… and on top of that, it would void my warranty!

I would guessed it took 64 steps on a ST

Little guy must feel like he’s got his own private sauna in that thing :joy:

Simply opening up your case to gently blow out a mote/mite will not void your warranty.

Route all your tracks to analog FX and crank up drive to 11. Then let your favourite sequence run for a couple of hours. This should dispose of the nasty arachnid for good.
