I setup tracks 1-8 as midi machines. I am linking the digitone 2 to an ipad via midi and sequencing samples in Koala on the ipad. I have done this before and it works fine, but in this case i mapped a total of 64 samples across keys ranging from C0-C6: once i had them all mapped when i am on track 5 and move through the keys. First it changes the c key to b without showing on the keyboard setup page. In orher words keyboard setup page still shows the keyboard as chromatic and C1. But the sample it plays is for B0. Then it freezes up and I have to reboot the digitone 2. I can duplicate this 100% of the time. It always happens on track 5 and it happens every time. I submitted a ticket too, as this is clearly a bug. Should i add a video for you guys to see? If anyone is interested, there is a video. Its 3m44s in length. It shows the keyboard problem and the locking problem, ive been able to duplicate it 100% of time.
What you described definitely sounds more like a bug than a limitation. I’d wait for support, they’ll have to validate the issue by testing it on their end if it’s not already in the log. If they validate it as a new bug then I’d encourage you to document it with this same information in the DNII bugs thread.
I see no reason why the machine should freeze up by design so I can only call it a bug, especially because you can reproduce it every time. The only other thing I might try is see if you can duplicate it in a brand-new project, and if you already have, then I believe you’ve done everything a user can be expected to do, and now you just have to wait on them.
