Anyone experience sudden System Service Exception error with the Overbridge Drivers? My Digitone is latest FW update. USB port? Maybe somoe driver conflict? It only does on Overbridge mode, is there an older version that i can try?
Hi, for this problem you’re having and in order to access the older versions of the software, I think that it’s best for you to contact elektron’s support team by filling out the contact form inside your account on elektron.se
You’ll need to specify your computer’s operating system and OS version that you’re trying to use overbridge with.
I’d try to include any relevant information such as if this is a recent problem and if it had worked prior to upgrading either the OB version or the device firmware, and anything else that might seem relevant.
If it’s a Mac computer, there seems to be quite a bit of security protocol that interferes with OB and you may have to go in and manually approve OB as administrator, but I don’t know much about it.
My best advice is to contact support, good luck.
Thanks, I understand Drivers conflict or Problem is not easy to solve But maybe the first step is to use an older version of Overbridge Indeed.
Will pass information to the Elektron tech.
Well, there are several potential issues, especially if your device is Mac. When you downgrade, if the uninstaller isn’t doing it’s job, then I’ve seen people required to go in and manually remove some files as was advised by the support team. My concern would be if you got a hold of the old software and wrote new files into your system while there was still something from the current version then you may run into new conflicts and confuse the efforts to fix the issue.
I don’t know what computer or operating system you’re running, and normally if there’s a system conflict with the current software then it should be part of the overbridge download page where it discusses system requirements. Either way, I do agree that if there’s an issue that you might just use an older version and be fine however there’s not enough info in your initial post to really make any better recommendation because I’ve never run into that error with overbridge on windows 10, which is the operating system I’m still using.
Easiest thing to do if nobody has popped up with any reasonable info at this juncture is to ask elektron support because at least they’ll have access to the software and any records of previous conflicts between overbridge, digitone, and whatever the specifics of your computer and OS are. It doesn’t seem like it’s getting resolved at the user level (i.e. forum support) so it’s the best advice I can give unfortunately.
