I’m looking for some help in the realm of transferring and managing files from my Digitakt as well as some tips on using digitakt with DAW setups.
I’m a longtime busy guitarist/tech/roadie who picked up a Digitakt as a convenient way to make music while traveling and I fell in love.
The problem is, I’m really, really lacking on knowledge of computers, DAWs, and synth setups. Any good YouTube channels, or content that would help me is appreciated.
Also, if there’s anyone in the Chicago area or nearby I’d pay for an in-person crash course on the subject. I’ve got studio time booked for songs on my digitakt and just need to know how to move these files around soon.
The manual is your friend but … it’s not that easy to read. I don’t have a good video example but I think a good place to start is to hook it up to your PC and throw samples into the Transfer software.
The files end up on the “drive” and are available for all projects, that’s a lot of space actually, 20GB.
The secret key combo to fetch samples into projects on the DT is func+samples and you hunt down samples you like, click yes to add a checkmark and then upload them to the current project in the menu you get by clicking the right arrow.
Wow, I saw this 3 months later haha. This is really helpful, thanks. I’m waiting until after I record this record off of Digitakt to start messing around with files. If there’s going to be a catastrophe of any kind, I don’t want to lose 3 years of work
