Ok! Happen to remember if it was starting from an initialized or a previously saved project, and if anything was connected at the time?
It was a previously saved project and nothing was connected (I seldomly have something connected).
I turned the Syntakt on, hit play and noticed the bassdrum sounded weird:
Each hit’s pitch envelope sounded different (instead of all hits the same). I can’t say if it was from the bassdrum machine’s own pitch envelope or an LFO in one-shot mode [that’s something I very often use for my kicks to have my custom pitch envelope.]
Best described: It sounded kinda like I had an additional, free running sine or tri shaped LFO applied to the pitch.
I remember that I checked all settings and then determined it’s the Syntakt acting up, and did the power cycle.
Freely assignable LFOs confirmed.
Ok, if it pops up again we’re interested in getting access to a project (as well as knowing the system settings, connections or other good-to-know-things). Also you can try some other engines like BD ACOUSTIC and/or SY CHIP, and record the result for us.
I have my Syntakt since March 2022 - using it excessively
it didn’t happen before, then twice, and then never again so far.
However, if it will … I’ll do that and contact you right away
My issue was directly after power-on. I warmed up my studio, powering everything in, loaded my DAW, then tapped a few keys on Syntakt to remind myself what sounds my patterns had and I immediately heard this strange sound on the analog tracks only. I tested all tracks, and no digital track had this sound, and when I switched analog sounds, some of those sounds had the glitch, some did not, depending on machine used.
Today, I just started everything up and Syntakt is fine. No sign of the issue. Edit: and my issue occurred when Syntakt was loaded into its last used project - a project I had been working on. As other users have said, powering off/on Synakt always solves it – until next time.
I recently had a bug where pressing the BD trig (track 9) caused the bass drum to sound sustained forever. But pressing the same trig key again silenced it immediately. Another press caused it to start sounding again, yet another press silenced it and so on. Turning the Syntakt off and on returned it to normal operation. So far, this hasn’ happaned again.
I wonder if they left a comma or something out in their source code or something for the last update 🫣 hopefully they can track it down.
Just wanted to say that I’m experiencing the same problem! Specifically on analog track 11. It’s doing it no matter what type of machine I use on the track. Even power cycling isn’t curing mine
That sucks, let them know about it by opening a ticket for sure. Maybe get a video or something as well 🫣
Now with OS 1.30B out, I mentioned this issue in the Syntakt Bugs thread here: SYNTAKT Bugs Thread - #570 by ThomasJ
It is basically the only remaining issue that we haven’t been able to reproduce yet, so are hoping to nail it down in the future. If @BRUTE still has this issue and it can be reproduced we would be happy to take a closer look, so please add a support ticket if so.
