Analog heat + FX - EQ question

Hi there

I am using a digitone2 mostly these days. given the unit only has a pair of stereo inputs, if I run DN2 mains out into the AH+FX and want to apply fx to certain frequencies e.g. delay to a hihat , but leave say the kick and bass and snare clean … can the unit acheive that? OR is it better viewed as a mastering fx box - rounding out the entire sound ?

Obv you can have say 2x presets with the AH+FX and when im muting some tracks on the DN2 vs having all tracks firing I could switch presets also

I’ve only just got my hands on one so I’m learning, but I’m certain if you tune the envelope follower’s filter to respond to higher frequencies, it’s should do it. But it will depend on your Digitone sounds, if they’re the same frequency as the hats the follower will effect those too.
