If someone could so so kindly give me the steps I would take to record audio into the Digitakt II using overbridge, I would appreciate it. I want to sample into Digitakt II from Ableton. I know there are new routing options but there are more than one option and I am not sure which is the right one.
In Ableton just set up an audio track that records from the Overbridge track
For sampling, in Ableton’s preferences, point the audio input to the DT.
When I try to sample out to the Digitakt II by directly whatever track out to EXT Out Digitakt, if I go to play the sound, it goes into feedback and I have to restart the Digitakt II.
In the DT, set it to record via USB and not audio. Try that
Revisiting this…so let’s say I have a random vst loaded and I set that track Ext. Out to 5/6 which is where the DT II is located. I can see the bars light up and I can even sample the instrument but how can I monitor it in Ableton? If I setup a separate audio track, I get feedback.
In Bitwig the OB plugin sidechain input is used - not sure if Live can do this though.
unfortunately, that does not work for me. I did it exactly as you described.
So you can record but not monitor the sound? Or?
Maybe you can set Digitakt as main output
This person used Digitone, but it should apply to Digitakt as well
Maybe this can solve your issue
I actually figured it out. Using a Return track, I can send the audio there and send it to the Digitakt side chan 1/2. So essentially, I can hear both.
