very grateful for the update but also feel validated by the “yapping about it” section of this video
i don’t log in here often anymore, but just wanted to kindly and gently remind everyone that if any one of us (however politely) expressed similar sentiments (especially about the features being intentionally prohibitive to sell other boxes) we would be attacked by mods lol

that video has been shared 20 times now and was also released hours BEFORE the actual update dropped just to get some views out of it. Very unfortunate but we can stop sharing it to maybe show it’s not okay to do that.

i figured it would be relevant to this specific thread bc it’s about 1.30?
and the video was released like an hour before elektron announced the firmware so the timing could very well have been unintentionally misaligned
kind of cynical to immediately assume the worst

Maybe they could squish that chip engine into the DTII and I wouldn’t need to reacquire a Syntakt sometime.

The FX block is largely analog, so other than maybe another slope or maybe LFO or something, I’m not sure what they could put there. Maybe a bitcrusher if they can cram a digital effect in there, but there are already machines with a bit crusher. I’m sure they could add SOMETHING, just not sure what.

Ha, saw and thought the same exact thing.
My Syntakt is still in Asheville but we recently got word that power and water have returned to my neighbourhood.
Already been looking forward to getting home but now I’m desperate

Not really about inclusivity. It’s about being honest. No hard feelings whatsoever but it’s okay to give an opinion about someone leaking something
