Since it’s not sure if the Anyma Omega will arrive, I doubled down on throwing money out of the window and got another crazy Synth: The Monomachine! From Elektronaut @Soarer, who got it from Elektronaut @cornelius.
It just arrived today, and I took it for a spin
All sounds from scratch, of course. The Hihat is done withe one of the FM machines, for example.
I’ll post some thoughts about the differences between all the Elektrons soon, since now I either own or have owned everyone of them. Except the Sidstation, but … I kinda have one (see left of the pic) And yes, that’s a mess of cables. I’m rebuilding my Jaspers Stand this week.
The crazy noises in the beginning are short sounds on one track routed into then chorus on another track, with filter and distortion (the chorus itself filtered and distorted, that’s what sounds like kicks and squeals and what not).
At first I did not get it to work, because the field for the input (Assign) was empty, and I could not make out why. But it was because I was in the wrong mode
More seriously: parameter slides are the best. Say you have the same parameter plocked on trig 1 and trig 16: with parameter slide, every trig in between will not interrupt the slide, so it’s like you have a linear LFO set between the two trigs. You’ll love this!
Anyway, these are some hidden corners, you seem to already smash it pretty well ^^
It’s weird. I’m in the process of… letting go the desire for many instruments I once got interested in (of drolled over). Unexpectedly, the MonoMachine has popped up twice in my readings lately, and… well… No, I must be confused.
