Analog Heat +FX and droney fuzz

I am considering the Analog Heat +FX for a number of use cases, but one I am curious about is whether (with proper inputs) it could create undulating fuzz a la Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, Tim Hecker, Amulets, etc. I am thinking with LFOs, the option to put reverb before heat, stereo, it could be a performable tool for this use case. But I wonder if I’m being silly I and should just get a RAT pedal or 5 for the same price…

What instrument will you be using it with?

Stereo synth, e.g. Vermona Per4Mer, and/or sampler like SP404mk2

Totally, well you can get some awesome distortions from the Heat but I’d make sure to watch some videos covering the different circuits. One of them is called “Round Fuzz” but it might be different than what you are expecting if you are used to guitar fuzz pedals. I can recommend though, I own three Analog Heats so you could call me a fan. I use them with synths as well and the stereo aspect is fantastic, there are lots of fun tricks. The envelope follower used with the drive can be really fun. Much more flexible than a Rat. You could grab two EHX Flatiron fuzzes (clones of the Rat2) for like $40 each though if you just want stereo Rat action. Heat will also give you the ability to control with an expression pedal, which a Rat just can’t offer.
