Pattern Corrupted?

Anyone else had a situation where a pattern seemingly gets corrupted? I was recording into Login on iPad, Logic crashed and the Syntakt started playing feedback over my headphones. After a reboot only ~5 trigs in the entire pattern play. Even when I copy individual trigs into a new pattern they won’t play. Additionally in that pattern and any other I copy these trigs into I cannot generate sound through hitting the trig key for that track. Have never experience a bug this severe and it has me questioning if my backup strategy is sufficient.

Sounds pretty wonky. Maybe a midi feedback loop occurred? So after the reboot did you play what first came up? (ie reload from temporary) or did you reload the project from the project menu? Also, just to confirm, it’s only one pattern and the rest of the project is fine? Or is the whole project messed up? How about other projects, no issues with them?

It does sound like something got corrupted, but it’s also possible hitting it with a sysex update might help. Best place to look for any previously reported bugs that might match, is the syntakt bugs thread right here:

On the off chance that you have not reloaded from the project menu, start by doing that and it will go back to the last project save, whereas coming back up after a reboot immediately defaults to the temporary pattern memory.

If you already know all that and you want to try and sysex it with an OS reload (if you have a DIN midi connection to your computer, like on an audio interface etc) using the transfer software you can try that by following the steps here:

If the project data is bad but other projects are still ok, you can contact Elektron support and they can advise you but in the end, the pattern might be a lost cause. Hope not though. Maybe someone else here has encountered this before and will chime in.

You could always run an error test from the startup menu that comes up when you hold function as you power on, but more than likely for something like this it won’t give you any errors. Anyways good luck!
