Listening to it gives me an urge to take a leak
Sounds more like bacon cooking.
Changes thread title *sizzle
sizzling rytm rain and sort of thunder, all noise and filters w fx
Still hear bacon sizzling
I hear something being deep fried
As funny as jokes are, I think it would show some respect to comply to the brief and drop your own sounds.
Joke or Comparison?
a bit cavernous. but dripping.
A4 single track, no sequencer used. Had this patch lying around for quite some time – glad I finally found some use for it
All done with Omnisphere.
is that synthesis only? sounds good
Absolutely. Ive been working on it for a while doing Tears in Rain famous Blade Runner track by Vangelis. The thunder on Omnisphere is amazing. It can be near or in the distance.
If you’re gonna break out one of the worlds most powerful, unlimited software synthesisers whilst others exploit extreme hardware limitations, that’s fine. Did you make it from scratch ooi?
A cursory yt search “omnisphere rain” shows plenty of amazing rain examples, couldn’t find any bacon sizzling.
Can you perhaps create 2 rashers from raw to crispy in a cast iron skillet? High heat. No oil. The cheap bacon from Tesco’s that’s full of injected water.
I wanna hear them chicken nuggets in oil!
yeah omnisphere is kinda beats the purpose of having some reasonable limitation to synthesize stuff, but as long as it’s synthesized and not a preset I’m not judging
This sounds like the description of a preset, rather than synthesis technique you built.
We’ve had A4, rytm and md. I’m interested to hear rain from all the elektron boxes, especially sidstation!
You start with a sound and then change it to your liking. Are you just making it from an init? That seems incredibly hard. I’d be surprised if you can get close to realistic rain with the Elektron boxes.(hence the Bacon sizzling comparison)
Welcome to the science labs.
Ever wondered what the person who created that sound you’re starting with did?
always actually
but that’s the point
me too, but worth a shot
my favorite “mission” was to synthesize a frog sample, I did it on DN so started with sine wave by default, obviously it sounds nothing like a real frog but the practice of using simple waves to approximate a sound is both fun and nice way to learn making sounds
