What's your latest purchase & what are your intentions with it? [pics ftw] (Part 3)

So, are you getting a decksaver for this immaculate specimen, right?

Right?

Fabric Collection and Kitmaker. I’m going all in on this MPC thing for now and Kitmaker seemed amazing (and it is) for dumping in a messy sample collection and making a shit ton of drum programs.

edit: Also, this will resurrect all my Maschine kits as my MK1 Controller has become obsolete a good while ago.

Who let the dogs out!?!?! Woof, woof, woof!
Welcome back to the pack. I used to hate seeing those round buttons, now I think they’re noice. Enjoy the pain!

Behringer Kobol Expander. Just scratching the surface yet but I am pretty sure this will be my go-to synth for a long time. Absolutely amazing sound and so many creative things to do…

Intention, re-capping, cleaning, flash storage, playing. But can’t actually start on it yet while I have active projects. I’ve been waiting for a couple of years for the right price though.

Latest three purchases.

Just leaving them alone to pulse, throb and shift together.

The Zedi8 is just a nice straightforward bit of kit. I’ve got by on Scarlett interfaces and small mixer boxes before but this makes everything a bit easier. Quality is remarkable for the (used but basically never taken out of its box) price.

The Stargazer is what it is. It moans and drones in a spectacularly sweet way. I haven’t stopped messing around with the thing since I got it. Recommended if you’re a regular patron of the drones thread.

The Cosmos is a recent purchase from @Francis, with the aim of passing it on to a friend for a music project we’ve got going. But until I do, it’s keeping me very happy. Slow evolving stereo soundscapes without having to put in any effort at all. Instant interstellar-movies-of-your-imagination soundtracks just like that. Awe inspiring. And, in partnership with the Stargazer, scary and ominous.

Once I resurrected the ol’ Ensoniq EPS 16+, it seemed prudent to plump for my three favorite Waveboy disks.

JBL Charge 4 — while it’s still in stock somewhere.
becuse Charge 5 does not have AUX input.

intention:
rolling blackouts are back here in Ukraine, and they appear to be with us for a long while.
i needed something portable & convenient for jamming / listening to music — because running regular studio monitors off a power station is not a good idea.

I’ve been having a pretty great experience with bulk sample rate conversion with this software on macOS:

First I duplicate the sample folder, then drag it in there, select all, convert the whole thing and it replaces files with desired sample rate.

Nice OT MK1 specimen, by the way

Yeah, it really is quite classy. I usually just munch on batteries straight out of the box, like a barbarian

I would imagine it’s like a dietary supplement, what with your low ph and all.

When you read your name in your head, does your subconscious say low ph or does it say LOAF?

Low pH, like battery acid. I’ve never thought of it sounding like “loaf”, but that’s hilarious and I’m into it

This is like a fetish point for me considering that I love turbografx stuff so much, I’m impressed that you found one in that condition. Are you going to try and get a super CD unit for it?

I’ve always wanted a turbo express / pc engine gt, but the prices on working ones are insane these days. The prices on broken ones are insane too.
