A little shelf on the back of my octatrack... Does this exist?

Look at you go… well done sir!

I really want to work on something like this as well for my DT2 + OP1F combo but I haven’t found the time for it yet. I probably do some actual woodwork instead of 3d printing but probably model it prior to making it as well. Perhaps even use the model for some cnc cuts.

Did notice the DT2 doesn’t have side mounting holes but rather TV bracket holes on the bottom. So much thinkering ideas, so little time to execute them :’(

I had one of my AHs mounted on a monitor arm, quite cool to open up Z for more gear.
But tapping two M3 holes is not that hard… I feel like it could happen soon. It’s just sheet metal. Need to check the internals beforehand, though.

I know, but I think I won’t need to. My idea was just a form of 2 deck laptop stand. I want to be able to pick the devices up from the stand independently. So feet instead of side mounts. A solution without screw mounting except maybe the stand itself. Stabilizers with butterfly nuts. Want a quick and easy setup that takes the least amount of space when disassembled.

I have sth for you… wait a minute.

Bought them some time ago from a nice guy from France.

I have a spare that I don’t need. If you are interested.

The connectors can be exchanged to accommodate like two smaller boxes per row.

Super slim when disassembled and the gear is just held by gravity. (Thx Newton, cool find!)

I think I ran across this one. Would be nice for my AR and A4 mk1s. But I want my DT2 on the bottom and the OP1 on top at very specific angles. I’ve searched many designs and options but custom stuff always suits me better. Many times I just end up customizing and thinkering shelf products anyway.

But again, for studio use I might still be interested. I’ll send you a DM after the weekend. I’m not at my home now and have to prepare for a gig tomorrow.

Good luck then! And lots of fun!

Do you know the name of this stand or have a link?

It’s years ago that I bought them…

But found it.

Check out his other stands, too.

the MFC42 mount for the MPC-2000XL is one of my all time favorite ‘golden era’ Akai inventions. I don’t own an mpc but I use my MFC in every setup for both gear and DJing - and my dream is to modify the MFC bracket design to fit onto an RS7000 (with the yamaha aieb2 expansion the MFC can basically work with the rs7000 like it was designed to work with an mpc ad then some). .

The bracket kit occasionally appears for sale on eBay but based on all the schematics I can find, it doesn’t ‘seem’ that complicated but I also have no real experience with fabricating a thing from pictures of a thing meant to hold an expensive thing safely above another expensive thing. either way, inspiring thread…

Maybe not this specific model but something like it could make use of vesa mounting holes and avoid drilling new ones or having to use the sides. It might also be the strongest yet lightest solution since it’s aluminum. https://a.co/d/0IeM0fz

What a fantastic idea

Will the Octatrack support that chip set?

I have one for sale, used but in very good condition. If s.o. is interested, 40€ + Shipping

Edit: offer starts after the weekend, it is reserved so long for @oermens

How about an elf on the octatrack shelf? That sounds like it could be a fun thing.

I feel the Snoop on a stoop version would be a better fit!

Did this this afternoon.
I used 2 store “legs” (“jambe de force” in French) and 12 mm plywood.
May paint the metal later when I have a spray fixator…

Possible to change the angle and lock it easily :

Nice. Yeah lemondrop or any small synth is the kind of thing that would be nice to have in the shelf.
