1st trig condition - help

I have a pattern where I have a cymbal placed on a trig and set to 1st Trig Condition i.e. only play once. It works correctly if I stop the sequencer and hit play but it doesn’t work if the sequencer is already running i.e. moving from another pattern.

The track length is simply the normal 16 steps for all tracks / patterns.

The issue appears to be kit specific as when I try the same thing with another track I get the same unexpected result. Also some patterns within the project, using different kits, work fine.

Another observation is that it works if I move to a new pattern, with a 1st trig condition AND the currently playing pattern is within 16 steps. If the pattern plays more than one single loop, the next pattern with the 1st Trig Condition is ignored.

I’m sure it worked when I initially created the patterns but I don’t know what has changed to cause trig condition 1st to be ignored when the sequencer is already playing and coming from another pattern where more than 16 steps has played.

If I create a new project everything works fine.

Since it initially worked and works on some kits/patterns and works with new projects I feel there must be some setting that can affect trig conditions?

I’m running the latest firmware.

Found the answer…it was because ‘direct jump’ was enabled!

Thank you! Driving me crazy. I didn’t see it anywhere in the manual that DIRECT JUMP sort-of disables 1ST trig.
