Sure there are some early release bugs, but I’m confident that many if not most will be fixed up soon. This box is here to stay for another 5 - 7 years (if we look at historical release cycles) and will continue to improve.
I looked back and the DT was probably used on over half my tracks / jams.
For me the selling point of DT2 is its ability to actually bridge the DAW + DAWless worlds. Now with stereo samples I can tap into some powerful VST synths and FX, create a juicy loop or two (without worrying about loss of quality) and rip it out of from the computer to perform on. And yes the 8 bar lengths removes time wasting hacks for longer melodies.
Even already owning a DT1 and an SP404MKII with quite a bit of overlap and redundancy, I actually enjoy switching up different sampler/synth combinations which leads to different playability. Over time, if something gets really dusty it will get listed for sale. I doubt it will be the DT2.
