Digitakt II Feature Requests

Yeah, it’s called ipad

Saying this, having Overbridge for ipad would be gamechanger. Just with AUM as mixer and all cool synths and effects apps ipad has would be a perfect combo

It would be amazing… even a simpler version would be great

I jest, of course.

I had an Mpc one and had to always use the touchscreen, even though it had so many buttons, it was such a waste, terrible user experience, basically the opposite of elektron.

That said, I would love some update features. Mono sampling is sorely missed. Also standard features on most any other samplers such as sample chop, or polyphony would make it so much better. Though I wouldn’t hold my breath for polyphony.

I love the workflow and experience with the digitakt 2 but often have to go back to the daw for simple things. I know there are workarounds but they feel so clunky.

Regardless, im happy with the machine and I’ll hope for the best.

Did you have the screen protection film on still?

Hold FUNC : MICRO TIME ALL

Maybe just a me thing, but I wish that the send fx bus was an option as a source when sampling. In the DAW I often sample just the reverb and/or delay buses for little ear candy effects.

I should say, I’m optimistic and think some great updates will come. The fact that they still haven’t put out mono sampling makes me think it’ll come with a much bigger update.

dear synth gods! please an option for global master note transpose including (or particularly) midi out. with the same track inclusion option page as the include in compressor page etc. and an option to have it per pattern or living globally outside of patterns.

This would be soo awesome!
I would love to use it with Cubasis

Not having my hopes high, because they could have done this with first generation of digi boxes, but they didn’t

There is a workaround: Just deselect all tracks in the AUDIO ROUTING SETTINGS and just select the desired SEND FX on the second page. Now select MAIN L/R as SRC for the sampling. Hope, that helps.

Most of what I want has been mentioned in this thread, multiple times even.

But for me, one thing I would LOVE is the ability to see what sample-slot is being played. If I want an LFO to change samples randomly (Say, 15 samples that are similar but not the same) it can be a headache to get them juuuuust right. A way to visualize exactly what sample is being played at the moment would be lovely.

If you do it with a sample chain and grid machine you DO get to see which grid slice is being selected. It IS a bit more to set up though.

Oh that does help! Thank you!

2 for the LFO pile.

  1. A visualisation of the LFO on the LFO screen Suggest a bar sort of like the visualisation of the compressor that can go both up and down.

In fact when I look at the visualisation screen there’s a gap on the left side of the LFO screen exactly where the compressor visualisation is

  1. the LFO length in steps somewhere on the screen. Please don’t make me keep looking at a paper table of numbers.

This is great, thanks!

Reminds me of the two I’m really waiting for

  • LFO destination of ‘note’ (not tune) taking scale settings into account
  • LFO depth scaled to destination, so ‘tune’ or ‘note’ destination would have a depth +/- 36 semitones (perhaps), Grid slice destination would have a depth of +/- number of grid slices

Oh … yes please.

Combined with the Euclidian sequencer, this would be a generative dream.

I don’t think it will happen, as the Digi boxes don’t seem to allow modulation of the parameters on the TRIG page, presumably for some internal reasons

I’d noticed that … I wonder if a destination of ‘note transpose’ would be feasible ? So … not really on the trig page, but a modifier of something on the trig page ? Or even a destination of ‘Tune (quantised to scale)’ … that’s definitely nothing to do with trig page.

Exactement !
