Yeh ill keep an eye on it, just dont want to be reporting anything needlessly (like I nearly did earlier with my screen test faux-pas…)
Yeh I definitely think it’s some sort of double-tap thing going on. Just trying it now and paying more attention to it, every so often (like maybe 1 in every 6 presses of a trig) the trig won’t register, or is registering but doing it twice giving the appearance of not registering… Will submit a report then I guess
When auto channel is receiving, and I am sending the lowest 16 notes from external midi (for the tracks to be controllable from one channel), if I have any of the bottom 9-16 tracks selected on the Digitakt II, the correct track is triggered normally, but the selected 9-16 track is also triggered and holds until I move back to one of the 1-8 tracks and trigger again. This does not happen on tracks 1-8 and it does not happen on Syntakt when using auto channel.
I know this is very specific as I could have used any other channel then auto to do this, but it is the only way to send from one MIDI port of my Launchpad Pro MK3 and control Digitakt II and Syntakt on two separate sequencer tracks of the Launchpad.
I think I may have found another one not mentioned yet and it’s unfortunately an easy way to destructively lose sequence data -
If looping a specific page (e.g. out of a 4 bar sequence looping only page 3) if you enter keyboard mode and then activate live recording mode and record some trigs with the intention of only recording onto page 3, it will delete trigs from page 1.
It seems like it doesn’t replace the trigs on page 1 with the ones you played on page 3, just deletes them. If for example I am on page 3 with these modes activated and hold down a keyboard note for trigs 1 - 16 and navigate back to page 1, all page 1 trigs are gone.
This behavior does not appear to occur if you’re looping a specific page, activate live record mode but are NOT in keyboard mode and are just trigging the track (exclusively happens when keyboard mode is active).
I will be sending a video/bug report to Elektron.
I’m know that’s been reported previously on Elekronauts, because I tried it and confirmed it. I don’t know if it’s been reported to support though so you may want to do that.
EDIT: found it.
I searched the thread but didn’t find it. Thanks, will report to support as well.
Edit: reported to support
Anybody got double triggerin behaviour? Also not only double triggering but also sometimes trigs not reacting…
Discussed just a few hours ago.
Interesting, there’s always anti double-triggering algorithms in any interface but I’ve also had to replace my Digitone Keys interface panel for what I would imagine was a few cold solder joints, hope the fabrication process wasn’t the issue here.
Can confirm this. Total pain in the ass/arse.
Thats very annoying…also experienced the trig to be gone after setting trig conditions or micro timing…this seems like a hardware problem right?
1000 bucks sampler…no manual slicing and a lot of bugs…thanks elektron
when recording YouTube off my android phone via USB the audio signal sounds fkd. like it’s got heavy ring mod & sample rate reduction on it or somethin.
any ideas what’s up?
I’m probably missing something obvious.
not sure if this is a bug or mentioned before.
but there is no output from the USB audio when previewing samples from the +drive
Tbf you will have known about the manual slicing situation prior to purchasing it, that’s hardly Elektron’s fault
Not matching maybe.
I didn’t try with Youtube, but if I want to listen a video recording of an Elektron via USB with my Android, it sounds as you described. (Same with Syntakt, DT1, Digitone iirc)
ah weird. so it’s a thing. mismatched Sr. I couldn’t seem to adjust any usb settings in android when attached.
I don’t know what to do either.
Just tested Youtube with Syntakt, same sound, slower playback.
I noticed two things with my digitakt tonight that were very buggy. Wondering if anyone else has experienced these? Not good at all for live performance, and just annoying at home

Power cycles when unmuting a track. All I was doing was changing a parameter for filter and when I unmuted a channel on track mute mode, it shut down and restarted.

Power cycles when recording input on velocity trig mode.
Power cycles sounds like more than just a bug. I would contact support.
