I couldn’t resist ordering one. I’m looking forward to MIDI presets, apart from Comb filter, stereo, glissando and more and more
My Nord Drum sequencing will get a notch easier and deeper!

Anybody already worked with that, configuring “machines” for their external gear?
The prospect of sampling them back in stereo and replacing the MIDI track by an audio one is quite exciting to me as well!
Decided to return mine, didn’t gel with it. I kinda wish it was more like my mpc1000. Easy fix, dug out my mpc1000 and saved a bung load of money.
I’m sure it was released at 799 EUR
I paid £729 for my ST on day 1
For the owners: is the internal memory now sufficient to have like a 30 mn set with lot of loops on the 16 tracks?
Sure sure? Because (from the introduction):
and I have receipt over 949 EUR from 2022-04-30.
What day did you buy?
Anyway, you mentioned a price of 799 GBP incl. VAT back then, which would have been 952.82 EUR per exchange rate from that time, I bought for 949 EUR incl. VAT and shipping, which is about the same
If you had the opportunity to buy for 729 GBP on 2022-04-01: Lucky you
The introductory price was 999 EUR.
There is a report that currently it is not always a flawless experience:
Hopefully these issues will be resolved soon.
So far Elektron never disappointed in ironing out bugs very quickly. And they were always open about it.
Ouch! I have two to three weeks to wait before getting mine… Here’s hoping…
Now I’m doubting myself lol
Gonna check my invoice
Depending on the repetitive nature of your desired genre 30 mins might be too much. But if you reuse some percussion loops for different sections and maybe only use mono loops for percussions you could get to 30 minutes
Thanks, I might use the DT OG for drums and the new for melodies then
OT + DTII would be the ultimate combo
Interesting… what didn’t click with you? And was that different from the og?
I just did a test. Loading stereo stem/loops of a 3minutes house track took around 381 mb/4% of ram. Which actually means that I could have a live set of around 60 minutes or more if I would optimize some things
Nice, thank you for the test!
Anybody tested midi learn succesfully ? It doesn’t seem to work but maybe I missed something. (DT2 receiving my CC70-79, but I can’t assign incoming CCs while midi learn is activated : hold Func, long encoder press in CC select page)
I think I like the mpc 1000 (or mpc in general) workflow better. I did get good stuff out of the og DT but it was a long time ago. Also I think I need proper slicing more than I thought I did no worries though, more stock for you guys.
Running into a curious issue with my DT2, I have a Live set with certain buttons mapped to MIDI notes that I triggered in Chromatic mode on my DT1. Now that I’ve set up my project with my DT2, when I try to trigger those same notes with the trig keys in Keyboard mode, it only sends note on messages, but no note off messages, which means the button I’ve mapped each note to has to be pressed twice.
Anyone know why Chromatic mode on DT1 wouldn’t have this issue but Keyboard mode on the DT2 only seems to send note on messages with each press?
