Yep, that was tough. I tried loading the site so many times. Then desperately checked quite a few monitoring tools to see if it was just me. Tbh, that was quite a long downtime, and it happens from time to time (that one was long though). Might me worth looking into alternative providers.

I think when elektronauts gets too spicy it’s easier for the mods to just turn it off and let it cool down a bit lmfao

I actually think it was just routine maintenance this time, it’s not like they’re obligated to warn us. It came back at 12am pretty much on the dot for me and I’m not saying the server is in my time zone, but for it to come back online right on the hour sounds scheduled. To me at least.

Was down for two consecutive nights for me.
Edit: We’re used to high load issues when major product upgrades/news are announced. So I’m asking myself, what’s causing the peak interest right now?

Unless the OP-XY threads broke the forum I suspect it was bigger than elektronauts doing maintenance, I’m thinking it was their server, that’s what I meant. I assume elektron gets a notice at their offices. But you’re correct, there was a shorter block of time yesterday and a larger block today. I should have checked the elektron.se site to see if it was still up. Didn’t even occur to me.
Edit: unless some shit is going down next Wednesday 
Maybe a weird proposition, but I’d be up to chip in for a paid layer, if maintenance would be solved that way.

Each bad gateway error happens when time travellers drastically alter the past, reality is changed, and our previous selves all die.
When the site returns, that shows that we have now been shunted onto a different time track and are living in an alternate reality. If any regular posters or Elektron products you vaguely remember have disappeared, it means that in this new reality they no longer exist.

When I went to bed, I had just put in my order for the Octatrack MkIII that released last week. Then I wake up this morning, the confirmation email is gone and now all I can find are threads about some bizarre thing called Tonverk??? WTF…

I don’t think this forum goes down often. I’ll take the opportunity to thank everyone here, you are always so kind and supportive, with massive knowledge and helping. I really wish that there were more community like this, and I’m not even an Elektron fanboy, I just like music and silly groovebox synths that get released on the market.

The site so rarely goes down that when it does, it’s immediately noticeable given how many times I mindlessly click on the bookmark to visit daily. Love this forum, my all time favorite music forum, and I’ve been through my fair share!
