Your Commitment to Releasing Something in 2024

there was a discussion on this topic about the Media section, some people not really comfortable to engage that much and honestly I get that, being online all day long is not for everyone but people still like to share their music, and honestly as long as it’s music I’m all for it, also it’s not like the person spamming the whole forum crossposting the link everywhere, it’s a pretty niche thread so I don’t really think it’s advertising really, just a person sharing their music which btw is free, and that’s an important point imo, they clearly not looking for sale value but clearly just sharing some music…

there’s a difference between a person sharing a free album on BC compared to people really looking to link farm with telegram/social media/whatever links and never engage, just spamming their brand…

I’d agree except they’re not engaging at all.

Congrats, I’ve been vibing to your album this morning drinking my coffee.
It’s great sounding, very atmospheric and cinematic.
Also love the noise/rain/vinyl crackle on the 2 first tracks.

hey man, I appreciate the music and if this thread drives u to post music feel free to post it, some people prefer for users posting links to engage with the community but as far as I’m concerned I don’t see your post as advertisement/marketing/spam, also it was a really nice chill music, and again, the point of this thread is to encourage people to release and share their released music!

not at all! just sharing my opinion with that person and letting them know that this thread was created to encourage people to post music.

don’t get me wrong, I totally share your sentiment of engagement/activity, but this specific post didn’t seem to me as someone trying to take advantage of the platform rather genuinely wanted to share their music.
I would probably react different if this was posted 500 times in different topics followed by barrage of social links and whatnot but it wasn’t…

Sorry, wasn’t referring to you! They said they wanted feedback but I guess they didn’t really.

We’re all entitled to our opinions so I’m happy to agree to disagree with you about it. Sounds like we’re just drawing a line in a different spot…

Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed listening and thanks for taking the time. It’s definitely a sitting with morning coffee type of album!

The Soma 42f really lends its self to that atmospheric/cinematic vibe and pairs well with the gold sound samples.

Really appreciate the kind words, first time releasing something so your positivity gives me loads of encouragement!

Thanks

2024 was my most prolific year in releasing music ever.

I think I drop an average of two tracks per month in my Bandcamp and 3 shorts per week on YouTube.

I even sold 2 tracks on Bandcamp that helped to pay for the crunchyroll subscription and 1 caipirinha (it’s not much, but it’s honest work)

I have to say this wouldn’t been possible without the Elektron sequencer and the constant inspiration from this community.

I had a lot of fun in 2024 and released 13. I decided to create a thread on my own so I don’t flood this place with the tracks. Looking forward to 2025.
