Been on the fence. I’ve made Syntakt my centerpiece for a couple months for live gigs and feel like I’m getting decent with it, but there’s always new tricks to be learned. It’s a bit expensive (not really a techno person myself though I appreciate it in others). For tonight it’s a moot point because I can’t seem to get it to work. Checkout, I mean. Something’s up. I’ll back in again tomorrow

I am very satisfied with part 2. I am in the first chapters and it’s precisely explained and good to watch. This might help me a lot to dig my ST more and understand a whole lot more of what it is capable…

Hey that’s strange. Which browser are you using ? Let me know if the problem persist and with which browser. I’ll let gumroad know. Try another browser if it still doesn’t work. And thanks for your interest !

Thanks for the support and enjoy !

Hey @DaveMech Can you let me know how this works? I bought part 1 a while back, so how can I get the discounted pricing by adding part 2?

Hey David,

You should have received an email with a promo code ? Can you check your spam folder?
Few people that haven’t received it which is very unfortune. I’m going to send it again this evening

Ah, I see it now! It was delivered at the same time as the general announcement and I assumed it was a duplicate email, but now I see the subject line is a little different. I’m all set!

Well, I have nearly finished your workshop ST pt 2, but now I would love to see a course with you, explaining Erica Perkons and Syntrx II. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Awesome to hear !
I did begin with a new product type called ‘walkthrough’. First test was with a no-input analog heat +fx project. Was fun to record. So I’ll be trying this a few times more. GAS therapy is definitely on the list.

Nice ! certainly have been thinking about that. Feel really at home on perkons so I might just. It’s a bit of a gamble as the market is not as big. Keep an eye on my newsletter

AWESOME !!Thx Dave !!

Thinking about buying one of your courses to go deeper on the Elektron workflow, but can’t decide on which one (I’ve got DK I, DT and ST).

Any recommendation?

If you want to learn more about fm synthesis in depth and use it for sound design I can recommend the DN course bundle. Part 1 goes deep into fm synthesis in a hands-on way and part 2 focusses on more complex sound design and creating full grooves on the digitone.

The ST course I can recommend because it’s the most recent one I finished and is probably the most comprehensive of the three courses (apart from the FM synthesis sound design part from Digitone).

The DT course is huge and obviously contains a lot of information on how to work with samples and such.

But… I think I’d recommend the ST course

I just bought the Part 2 and I have to say that it looks very professionally made. Can’t wait to dig into it!

Thought I’d make my 1st post on the forum by paying compliment to Dave for this super helpful & interesting course.

I bought the Syntakt middle of Jan and it is my first delve in to Elektron gear. I’d dabbled with production in Ableton in my mid 20’s but gave up as I just could never get my tracks finished. Just turned 39 & decided to give it a bash again with just the Syntakt & headphones for now as don’t have a spare room to work in a proper home studio set up. I bought Dave’s course on 7th Feb and have just about finished part 2. I started playing around on Monday and feel I have got the foundations of a track nailed down in a couple of days at the first attempt of using the Syntakt post watching the course videos. Essentially I’ve made more progress in a month or so using the Syntakt with Dave’s guidance than I did over the best part of 2 years messing around on Ableton. Safe to say my head is blown a bit.

Can’t recommend the course highly enough to anyone with a Syntakt. And extremely happy I took the plunge with Elektron!

Welcome to the forum. Having similar results with his DT1 course. More progression in a week compared to 2 years of solo doodling. The DN course is bought and waiting for me and will add the ST course soon.

Thanks for the welcome!

Glad to hear you’re seeing good progress as well. I’m defo finding it challenging without polyphony for my style of music so already eyeing up the DN2 to go with the Syntakt. Will definitely do another course from Dave if I pull the trigger.
