Same thing happened to me, I’d suggest filling a support ticket.

still, not very good when they advice updating without warning anything or testing…

not so cool

Be sure to give the device 20 seconds gap if you power cycle off then on

@tri_minh My AR MKII is showing exactly the same symptoms (see earlier in the thread). The fact that there are now several of us with the same problem, suggests that on certain hardware at least the OS upgrade to 1.60 is causing a problem.

OK, seems the new OS is having serious problems to some users?

possible to do a total backup of all projects ( I mean everything done in ther machine ) with the new transfer version? before upgrade…

then, if my machine shows the same problems, is possible to downgrade to the previous OS without problems?

Or is better to wait to Elektron to fix this bugs??, I have no upcoming gigs obviously due to the pandemic, but I do have recording sessions, which at the end is the same…

Seems everybody is having this issues, serious one, anyone not having problems?

thanks!

I think you have the answer in your question…
Of course, wait before upgrading: what would it bring to you?

The vast majority have had no issues, the best thing to do is wait.

You should have backups already irrespective of new is so you’ll know there isn’t yet (nor will there ever be imho) a way to backup all projects. Firmware updates don’t affect user projects, other steps do, but backing up is always advised. Elektron are aware of the issues a few folk have reported. It’s so specific it seems likely they’ll fix it soon, especially as it’s critical functionality. Downgrading isn’t always advisable so just wait if it concerns you to upgrade now

I have my AR is bricked after the update to 1.60, please advise me what I can do to bring my AR MKII back to normal again?

many thanks

i think that transfer is not working anymore. it freezes when i press conect. I’m on windows 10 and MK1

MK1 here. The update is working well for me.

Ensure to run latest Transfer version and use USB Midi (not OB)

I noticed that that the TRC 8:8 does not save. Export Sysex then Import Sysex and it’s changed to no TRC value…they changed the way they encoded the TRC’s because of the added value so there is probably a bug somewhere there

this has been caught early, officially confirmed and logged and probably fixed for the next release

After i updated my AR mk ll and my AK to latest os all trig conditions r set to 100% chance even i saved it with different chances before the uptade. Do u people have the same problems? All my patterns r fucked

I just found similar issue- a project created before 1.60 has all track volume maxed out

Probably worth those having issues to mention what computer OS and method of updating was used, might help others.

So far no issues on my mk2 but not fully tested yet, win7 and I used C6 to update.

are you seeing this by holding individual trigs down in grid edit mode or just looking at the encoder value which defaults to the new 100% track probability (that’s not a TRC trig condition)

i.e playback is such that all trigs play all the time and the locks are locked to the TRC condition previously unavailable until this release somehow

All TRC are deleted. Even my patternlengh. I had set some to 1/2 of speed.

Have the same issue. Even my patternspeed r not there like i saved it. I had a lot of patterns where some teacks played with the 1/2 of the regular speed. Every pattern is destroyed
